Ogasawara Precision Laboratory Ltd. Japan has announced the development of a new ultra precise gear measuring machine. As a leader in the manufacturing of highly precise fine pitch gear tools and metrology products, Ogasawara has improved the level of quality in the industry. The ability to manufacture such high quality products is the result of over 60 years experience in perfecting our manufacturing and inspection methodology.

In such industries as Industrial Robotics, demand for precision fine pitch gears with reduced backlash calls for extreme accuracy in gear tooth profiles. Developing a gear measuring instrument which can certify the static accuracy of gears (tooth profile deviation, lead variation, pitch deviation, run-out) within 0.1~0.3 µm has proven the level of Ogasawara’s technology.


GRT-04 Gear Rolling Tester

Function - To measure the composite error of fine pitch gears relative to the function of center distance oscillation during dual flank meshing between test piece (gear/pinion) and master gear.

GRT-04 can be used either in an inspection room environment or on the job. In addition to general gears, GRT-04 can be used to measure other gear products such as plastic gears for office equipment (i.e. copy machines, fax machines, printers, etc...)

(MEATA-3) Measuring Equipment for Angular Transfer Accuracy of gear train

MEATA-3
Angular deviation from a determined ratio between the input and output revolution of a gear train is detected and processed with the finest resolution of 1 sec. or arc.

As set of 2 gears are to be measured with the MEATA-3.
